Shipbuilders & RN Crews WWII Valiant Service...

There is something impressive about a ship being launched, and onto the mighty Mersey, from a location which has been a major contributor to that end in the form of Cammell Laird Shipbuilding Yards, Birkenhead, now integrated into BAE Systems plc, who have taken on the responsibility of continuing this time-honoured, respected and venerated shipbuilding facility, which has existed for many years on the banks of this great river.

Most importantly, this script was also written to highlight the hard-working efficient efforts and skills of its workforce throughout its existence, not forgetting or overlooking the bravery of those crews who manned, sailed, served and supported the Royal Navy against all-comers during naval conflicts through the years in defence of our United Kingdom.

It must be true that some readers identify with it's proud history, and it would be a credit to those involved and who helped build these fine vessels, and also the many who, undaunted, and with battle pennants flying, sought to defeat the enemy on the high seas, and especially if we could read their personal comments?
